• 500–750 words recommended
• Essays, journalism, poetry, interviews, creative nonfiction, fiction, historical research, personal narratives, opinion pieces, scripts, experimental writing, and other written formats accepted
• Respond to one of the listed prompts
• Submit a Google Docs link
• Set sharing to “Anyone with the link can view”
REQUIREMENTS
• Open to student creators
• Original work only
• Multiple submissions permitted
• AI-generated will be disqualified
• Cite sources when applicable
ARTWORK
• Digital art, photography, illustration, painting, graphic design, and mixed media are accepted
• Respond to one of the listed prompts
• Any original visual, creative, or artistic work may be submitted
• Upload work to Google Drive, Google Slides, Google Docs, Canva, or a portfolio page
• Submit a public link
• Set sharing to “Anyone with the link can view”
PUBLICATION
• Creators retain ownership of their work
• Submission grants The Inland Empire Witness permission to publish, archive, and promote accepted work with credit to the creator
